Azamgarh: This is election time in UP. So every political party is adopting all the ways to woo the voters. As a part of such exercise to get support of Muslims voters, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visited Darul Musannefin Shibli Academy in Azamgarh.
Mr. Gandhi was accompanied by Congress General Secretary and party in-charge of UP affairs, Digvijay Singh, President of UP unit of Congress, Ms. Rita Bahuguna and senior Congress leader, Pramod Tiwari.

During his short visit, he met the staffs, officials and members of Shibli Academy. He also saw the letters of his forefathers like Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to the Shibli Academy.
He also inspected the places where his forefathers used to stay when they came to meet and discuss the issues of the country with the members of the Academy like Maulana Syed Sulaiman Nadwi and Maulana Masood Nadwi.
Mr. Gandhi promised to the members of the Academy that he would come again with more time to visit the Academy soon.
Dr. Javed Ali Khan of Darul Musannefin presented thanks-giving speech to Mr. Gandhi for his visit.
