Kolkata: The West Bengal State Committee of Welfare Party of India has started District wise workshop on Three Tier Systems of Panchayat Election in West Bengal which will be held in 2013. The importance of participation in the Panchayat Election for development of the rural Bengal and future aspect of the political empowerment through the Muslim leadership was discussed elaborately in this workshop.
Apart from Panchayat election the role of media, police activities, RTI were also covered in this workshop discussion. The two-day workshop on Panchayat Election was organized by Welfare Party of India, West Bengal on 9th & 10th June, 2012 at Iqra Model School, Champdani of Hooghly District.

State President of Welfare Party of India Dr. Raisuddin said, all political parties are trying to get support of all sections of the people but they are not giving attention to the development of the society in a whole. Political parties should look after the real necessity of the people to make a great country. Through Panchayet Election we can make good representative to society in future.
Dr. Raisuddin advised the party workers in this workshop that they should be with the people in their good and bad time alike. Also they should adopt good conduct, he said. Dr Raisuddin boldly said, Welfare Party is committed to better the life of the people and bring changes in society & political system.
State Committee member Monsa Sen said, all the issues are not important. Moral-spiritual-cultural issues of human life can be considered as the main issues of the party, like drug addiction, which is pushing youths towards death. Monsa said, Welfare Party wants milk & pure water, not drug.
RTI Activist Afroz Alam Sahil discussed the necessity of filing RTI petition. He said, RTI can give the information about the performance of the Government representatives like MLA, MP. So, concerned people can protect society from corruption and fight against the corruption for the development of the great society. He enlightened on the Panchayet & MP local area funds, which is very useful for the rural people. If general public knows about the amount of allocated funds, then they can pressurize the representatives to use the full utilities. Then funds will never be returned.
State General Secretary of Welfare Party Abdul Aziz focused on struggle of the people. He described the peaceful, constructive & democratic ways of panchayet election.

Young Activist Shahnawaz Ali Raihan explained the vital role of Members of Panchayet who become a member of either Assembly or Parliament in future. The struggle can make a future leader of our society to make rural development of our country. He also discussed the role of media to make the power & powerless of the Political parties.
Former police Officer Mr Masiur Rahman delivered his speech on the importance of relationship with police station. He talked on how to make FIR or lodge complaint and the rights of the people.
Member of the state committee of the welfare party Shafiqul Alam threw light on the necessary of Voter I-Card and how to get the Voter Card through easy process.
About 150 WPI delegates from the 16 Districts of West Bengal participated in the workshop.
