Bhopal : A court here Tuesday ordered that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the main accused in the 2008 Malegaon bombing which killed six people, should be kept in a Bhopal prison till the end of a murder trial against her in Madhya Pradesh.
Thakur, who is currently lodged in a jail in Mumbai in connection with the Malegaon bombing in Maharashtra, is facing trial for the killing of former Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) member Sunil Joshi in 2007.
National Investigation Agency (NIA) Judge Vijay Kumar Pandey gave the order when Thakur and another murder accused Harshad Solanki, lodged in a Bhopal jail, were presented before him.
It was the first time that both the accused appeared before the court since the case was transferred from Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district court to the NIA court here.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court transferred the case to the special court in December last year.
Joshi, 45, was found murdered Dec 29, 2007 in Dewas.
