Along with Kulaste and Heptullah, two other ruling party nominees Captan Singh Solanki and Thavar Chand Gahlot also filed their papers for the Rajya Sabha.

BJP has 152 members in the 230-seat Madhya Pradesh assembly while the Congress has 66 members in the house.

Congress has fielded Satyavrat Chaturvedi as their candidate who also filed his nomination papers.

Monday was the last date for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha polls.

As there are a total five seats for the upper house from Madhya Pradesh, it is expected that all the five candidates would get elected unanimously.
