New Delhi : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here Thursday after his blood sugar levels and blood pressure went up.
“Lalu Prasad was admitted to the hospital today (Thursday) morning, We are examining him for increased blood sugar levels and high blood pressure,” a hospital official told IANS.
According to party sources, the 63-year-old Lalu Prasad, who was railway minister in the first United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime, was rushed to the hospital with complaints of increased blood sugar levels, high blood pressure and problems in the urinary bladder.
