Beijing : UN envoy to Syria Kofi Annan will undertake a two-day visit to China, Xinhua reported Saturday.
According to the ministry, Annan will visit China from March 27 to 28 at the invitation of the Chinese government.
The former UN secretary general will hold discussion with foreign ministry officials over the Syrian conflict, said ministry’s spokesman Hong Lei.
Hong said China values and supports Annan’s mediation efforts and hopes to thoroughly discuss political solutions for the Syrian crisis during his visit and work with him to play a constructive role in ending the conflict there in a fair, peaceful and appropriate way.
