Security further tightened in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Police here Saturday further stepped up security following the arrest of three workers of YSR Congress Party who allegedly hatched a conspiracy to set afire 100 buses in the event of their leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s arrest.

Cyberabad police Saturday claimed to have busted a conspiracy to torch buses. Police Commissioner Rajiv Ratan told reporters that the trio was arrested in Miyapur.

He said police were trying to gather details of the people who received SMS from the three YSR Congress workers.

Police seized petrol-filled bottles from the accused. Further investigations were on.

Unidentified people had Friday set afire two buses in L.B. Nagar and Vanasthalipuram areas on the city outskirts.

The CBI is questioning Jagan for the second consecutive day in the disproportionate assets case.

Meanwhile, police sounded an alert across the city. Policemen were seen installing CCTV cameras at vital installations, including Nampally court where Jagan would be produced in the event of his arrest.

Police intensified checking of vehicles at various points, especially at the entry points into the city to prevent Jagan supporters from reaching the city.

Prohibitory orders banning assembly of five or more people have already been imposed till May 29.
