Kolkata: Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) and Tata Steel will organise this year’s “National Metallurgists’ Day” celebration from Nov 16 in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur city, an official said Saturday.
The three day event will include informative presentations and showcase the latest developments in the area of equipment, products and processes.
An international symposium on “Converting Challenges into Opportunities-Focus: Iron and Steel” will also be organised as part of the event.
IIM Secretary General J.C. Marwah Saturday said about 1,000 delegates were expected on the occasion.
The National Metallurgists’ Day is celebrated every year as a tribute to the important role played by metallurgists in the industrialisation and economic development of India.
