While motorboats and divers have been readied to handle emergencies, mobile dispensaries have been stationed near the Yamuna and other water bodies where devotees are expected to throng.

The health minister also directed the East Delhi Municipal Corporation to facilitate spraying of insecticides and pesticides at the sites where devotees will perform the puja, and remove garbage from various areas near the Yamuna bank.
