Greater Noida : Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel led the timesheets in the first practice of the second edition of the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) here Friday.
The German clocked 1:27.619, 0.310 seconds ahead of second placed Jenson Button in his McLaren. Ferrari’s championship contender Fernando Alonso was third with 1:28.044.
Vettel stamped his authority on the race he won last year in the 22 laps of the BIC.
India’s Narain Karthikeyan beat Spanish teammate Pedro de la Rosa in his HRT clocking 1:32.125 finishing the morning session at 22nd while de la Rosa ended 24th and last with 1:32.859.
