Mumbai : Air India flights to New York and Newark have been severely disrupted on account of Hurricane Sandy which has hit eastern parts of the US, an airline official said here Monday.
The Air India Mumbai-Newark flight AI-191/192 and Delhi-New York flight AI-101/102 scheduled for Tuesday have been indefinitely delayed due to closure of airports in New York and Newark.
The Mumbai-Newark service AI-191 has been rescheduled to depart Tuesday at 1 p.m. instead of 1.35 a.m. Tuesday, and the Delhi-New York flight AI-101 will leave at 1 p.m. Tuesday instead of 1.20 a.m. Tuesday. Both will, however, be operated subject to clearances from the appropriate US authorities.
Passengers scheduled to travel on these flights are requested to contact Air India for further information in the matter, the official said.
