Ganesha immersion, Telangana bandh won’t upset ‘Rebel’ release

Chennai : Actor Prabhas-starrer Telugu action film “Rebel” will release Sep 28 as scheduled and will not be deferred in view of Ganesha immersion or Telangana shutdown, confirmed the filmmakers.

The makers have have rubbished every rumour about the possible postponement in the release of the film.

“Telugu action film ‘Rebel’ starring Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia and Deeksha Seth, and directed by Ragava Lawrencce, will release worldwide Sep 28,” read a pressnote issued Thursday.

According to industry grapevine, it was speculated that the film release may be deferred due to Ganesha visarjan (immersion) Sep 29 and Telangana bandh Sep 30.

“Rebel” is produced by J. Bhaghawan and J. Pulla Rao under Sri Balaji Cine Media banner.

Apart from direction, Ragava Lawrencce has also handled choreography, screenplay and music direction for the film.

Actors Mukesh Rushi, Brahmanadam, Ali and M.S. Narayana will be seen in supporting roles, while veteran actor Krishnam Raju will be seen in an important role.

At the audio launch of the film Sep 14, the director was all praises for Raju’s role in particular.

The film’s dialogues are penned by ‘Darling’ Swami, cinematography is by C. Ram Prasad and editing by Martand K. Venkatesh.
