The small aircraft flying Yadav, a minister in Uttar Pradesh, from Lucknow to New Delhi, skidded off the runway at IGI airport Saturday morning while landing.

“At around 11.30 a.m., a private aircraft belonging to Uttar Pradesh government was damaged on landing. Emergency services swung into action and we can confirm that there was no fire or casualties of any kind in the incident,” said an official with the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates IGI airport.

According to the DIAL official, the Beechcraft premier 1A aircraft had on board three passengers and three crew members, all of whom are safe.

The official further said that a team of the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) had started its investigations into the incident.

Operations at the airport were unaffected and all three of its runways continue to be operational, the official added.
