Nakoula, 55, the producer of “Innocence of Muslims”, likely violated his probation terms which stemmed from a 2010 bank fraud case.

Under the terms, he was not supposed to use the internet without permission from his probation officer. Any approved computers were to be used for work only, Xinhua reported citing the Los Angeles Times.

The 14-minute video had ignited violent protests in Benghazi, Libya, and led to the death of US ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans Sep 11. Similar protests were held across the Arab world.
