Dr. Samdani said that the military regime has unleashed the terror in Egypt and is killing innocent peaceful protestors who were protesting against the dismissal of lawfully elected government of Dr. Morsi. He said that everybody has a right to express his view including peaceful demonstrations in a democratic society. But Egyptian Army under General Al Sisi has crossed all limits of brutality. The children of very senior most Ikhwanul-Muslimeen leaders including a young daughter of 17 years have been brutally killed by army and Egyptian police.

Even the grandson of Shaheed Hasan Al Banna has been killed. According to official version of new military government at least have been killed and 3700 injured. But the independent observers and Ikhwanul-Muslimeen have said that about 5000 peaceful demonstrators have been killed. He said that the west speaks of democracy, freedom and Human Rights but prefers dictators particularly in Muslim countries. Military intervention has caused the violations of democratic principles and the UN charter.

Dr. Shakeel Samdani while criticising the United Nations and other democratic governments of the world said that their reactions are very mild and they seem to be only lip service except a few countries of European Union, especially France and Germany and the lone Islamic country Turkey. He also vehemently criticised the Western media for ignoring massacre and blatant violation of Human Rights in Egypt. He urged the govt of India to lodge its strong protest with Egyptian govt by recalling its ambassador from Egypt and expelling Egyptian Ambassador from India.

Dr. Obaid Iqbal Asim, Secretary, UP Rabita Committee said that a new Pharoah Al Sisi has been born in Egypt. He along with interim President Adli Mansoor have crossed all limits of brutality. Children including kids, veiled women, and people offering prayer and making dua are being killed by military and police which is unparallel in the world history.

Senior Member of Amnesty International and In charge of PUCL Aligarh Chapter, Dr. Mohib-ul-Haq of Aligarh Muslim University said that the US and the West do not want to flourish democracy in Muslim countries and they always try to dislodge elected governments in Muslim states. He condemned the suppression of peaceful demonstrators and massacre of thousands of civilians and urged the Human Rights Organisations to come forward and denounce severe violation of Human Rights in Egypt. Secretary, Sir Syed Welfare Society (Jaunpur), Shahnawaz Khan said that whatever is happening in Egypt is painful and the democracy loving people of India should protest outside Egyptian and US Embassies.

Mohd. Arif, Chairman, Association of Minority Action for the Nation (AMAN) said that General Al Sisi has murdered democracy in Egypt and the Indian govt should lodge a strong protest with the Egyptian govt for suppressing democratic aspirations of Egyptian people. Ahmad Usmani, Convenor, Welfare Party, Aligarh said that these incidents reflect global conspiracy against Muslims and Islam.

Secretary, SAF, Mansoor Ilahi said that massacre in Egypt should not be viewed from religious angle. Rather it is the murder of humanity. Eliminating a democratic elected govt is against all civilised norms. It should not happen anywhere in the world including Egypt.

Besides the above speakers Nizamuddin, President, Aligarh Madarsa Association, Haji Aslam Ansari, Vice President, Aligarh Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, Anwar Ali, Advocate, Secretary, Aligarh Educational and social development, Naseem Shahid, Patron, UP Urdu Teachers Association, Shoaib Ali, Ex Cabinet, AMU Students Union, Danish Iqbal and Abdullah Samdani expressed their views.
