New Delhi: Beti Bachao Abhiyan (BBA), a joint platform of more then 50 well known social movements and organisations in country, has decided to give six awards every year for promoting and bringing on front people who are working in the field.
BBA is seriously working on the issue of female infanticide through social awareness and working with masses on grass roots, as well as active legally and politically. In their own words, Beti Bachao Abhiyaan concerns with female rights from conception in womb to the adulthood.
The six catagories are named as Nirbhaya, Savitri Bai Phule, Rani Laxmi Bai, and three others as Beti Bachao Star. Nirbhaya was the name given to the brave girl who was gang raped in Delhi in December, 2012 , who later sucumbed to injuries in hospital in Singapore.
These Awards do not have any financial value, but have been set up to recognize some of the unsung heroes, and those who have performed substantial service .

5- Beti Bachao Star 2013-1 female – do exemplary work by spreading awareness among people about preventing female infanticide by their unique creativity.
6- Beti Bachao Star 2013 ,for doctor who promote prevention of female infanticide and do exemplary work in their respective field.

Each nomination must include ALL the details listed below. Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

After Abhiyan has reviewed the nominations and selected the finalists, all the nominees and the nominators will be informed by email, around mid November 2013
If, when, and where possible Awards will be presented to the successful candidates at a special ceremony, failing which the awards will be sent to them by mail.
