More than 100 protestors were detained and taken to the Parliament Street police station, police sources said.

Police had to use water cannons to disperse the protestors outside the Parliament House, where the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha are sitting in winter session till Dec 20.

The protestors were demanding three extra chances in the UPSC entrance examinations, a review of the examination pattern, and inclusion of certain subjects in the syllabus which were dropped this year.

“The examination pattern is discriminatory. This should be reviewed,” a protesting student said before being whisked away by police.
