Lucknow : Dutch ambassador Alphonsus Stoelinga Monday appreciated the prevailing investment atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh and said his country is planning to invest in meat and potato industry in the state.
Stoelinga said his visit to the state was aimed to “explore sectors and areas for intensifying the presence and operations of Dutch investments in the state of UP”.
Speaking at an interactive session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII’s) state council here, Stoelinga said the new policy announced by the state government has been set in motion.
“With a commitment like this, Uttar Pradesh is certainly poised for growth,” he pointed out.
The ambassador said that his country is looking at setting up a meat and potato processing centre in Uttar Pradesh.
