Maulana Madani called upon all sections of society to unitedly fight against this menace. “In such tough time we urge all the citizens of the country to display our unity and defeat the evil designs of the mischief makers,” he said.

Taking exception to the media for naming organisations allegedly involved in the blast within few minutes of the blasts, without proper identification, Jamiat has urged them to not act as an accuser, prosecutor and judge but convey to the masses the true picture of events.

Jamia general secretary, however, asserted that whoever is culprit must be brought to justice and dealt with iron hand.

He also criticized alleged lapses in matters of internal security. Citing the home minister statement who had said that there was intelligence information that was passed on, he said laxity on the side of government points to serious lapses in our system and failure of harmony between agencies and government.

He also emphasized at strengthening intelligence network in the country to “nib such mishaps in the bud.” He said, “Preventive action is necessary not always cry after disaster,” adding, “the government should not bow before a handful of misguided elements, but fight against them with courage and tenacity.”

Maulana Madani extended his “deepest sympathies to those affected and demanded that the government should also take necessary steps to provide immediate relief to the families of the victims.”
