New Delhi : President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Thursday greeted the nation on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, being celebrated Friday, and said the people should be inspired by Prophet Mohammad’s message of universal brotherhood and compassion.
“May the message of universal brotherhood, compassion, tolerance and service to humanity preached by the Holy Prophet guide and inspire us all to live a righteous and productive life,” the president said in his message.
The prime minister, in a separate message, recalled the “timeless and eternal teachings of the Prophet, which speak of brotherhood, tolerance and compassion among fellow human beings”.
