Abu Asim Azmi wants linking bridge, slum development from seized Rs 2500 crore

    Mumbai: Samajwadi Party MLA and city President of the party Abu Asim Azami has demaned that of the seized Rs 2500 be gcrore, Rs 2400 crore be given to build the incomeplete sea link bridge and the rest 100 crore be given to the Mumbai east ward, which has the largest slum population acccording to a study by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, with 77% popultion living in slums.

    The Income Tax Department and National Investigation Agency personnel on Monday night seized cash worth Rs 2,500 crore, and gold and diamond jewellery from four trucks outside the Mumbai Central railway station, here and detained 47 people.

    The seized consgiment were appeaerntly bound from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and other destinations by the Gujarat Mail train.
