Lucknow: Annual General Meeting of All India Ulama & Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) is going to be held on June 30th in Khanqah-e-Shaikhul Alam at Rudauli in Faizabad district.
The meeting will discuss “Wahabi extremism on Indian soil.” The agenda of the meeting also include a review of nine years of UPA government to evaluate the performance of government schemes for minorities.
National Secretary of the Board Syed Babar Ashraf will present the Annul Report. The office bearers including the General Secretary Hazrat Maulana Syed Mohammad Ashraf Kichhouchhwi will present the essence of correspondence with the government and the representations given to Union and several states governments about the sorry state of affairs of the community.
Heads of a number of Khanqahs, Aastanas and Dargahs will attend and take part in the deliberations.
AIUMB was formed eight years ago by Barelvi leaders as a counter weight to Deobandi-led organizations.
