Kohima: Stating that corruption needs to be controlled, Nagaland Governor Ashwani Kumar Saturday urged parents to inculcate integrity, values and character in children to eradicate corruption.
“Corruption needs to be controlled. Parents need to inculcate integrity, values and character in a child. Schools, colleges and universities should teach correct values and ethics so that students can take ethical decision,” he said.
Ashwani Kumar, who was sworn-in as Nagaland’s governor March 21, said that his priority would be to protect the poor and the needy.
He also complimented the state’s teachers for taking Nagaland’s literacy rate to over 80 percent.
