New Delhi: It was a hot, sunny Wednesday in the capital as the maximum temperature settled three notches above average at 42 degrees Celsius, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The IMD forecast similar weather for Thursday.
“The skies will be sunny tomorrow (Thursday) and the afternoon will be hot,” said the IMD official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 41 and 24 degrees Celsius, added the official.
Wednesday morning was warm as the minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 23.7 degrees Celsius.
Humidity saw high and low of 57 and 13 percent, respectively.
Tuesday was hot as well. The maximum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 40.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.3 degrees, average for this time of the year.
