Seemandhra Congress coordination committee comprising state ministers from Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra held a meeting here and took this decision. The committee also made it clear that there is no change in its stand that the state should be kept united.

Committee’s convenor and state minister S. Sailajanath told reporters after the meeting that they would also meet Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh, who is incharge of party affairs in the state.

Some of the participants in the meeting found fault with some union ministers and MPs for stating that the bifurcation was inevitable.

Meanwhile, Congress MP R.Sambasiva Rao has demanded that Hyderabad be declared a union territory and the second capital of India.

The MP from Guntur said the resignations of Seemandhra MPs were accepted, they would be happy and if the resignations were not accepted, they would vote against the Telangana bill in parliament.
