Lucknow: To mark the celebrations of Teachers’ Day on Thursday, 5 September, Urdu Media Guild felicitated 70 teachers from different educational institutions for their excellence in the field of education. The function was organized at Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium, Lucknow.
A symposium was also organized on the occasion on the topic ‘Imam Jafar Sadiq and Modern Education’.
Minister for Basic Education, Ram Govind Chaudhary was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address to the gathering, Minister said, “By distributing laptop amongst the students of the state, Chief Minister had given new directions to the modern education being imparted to the students and it’ll help minorities”.
Minister added, teachers have key role to play in the development of nation and the society along with it they have many priorities also. As education was also important part in development, teachers should pledge for making better educational system.
Vice President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Dr. Kalbe Sadiq said, “For every human it was necessary to acquire education. The Muslim community should acquire education as much as they can, if they will be educated, they can easily solve their problems either political or social”.
Dr Sadiq demanded from the Minister that the Samajwadi party government takes some more time for fulfilling the demands of Muslim community, it’s on their will but the government should make immediate arrangements for education of Muslims in the state. If Muslims will get educated, they will be able to solve many of their issues on their own.
Former Union Minister, Arif Mohammad Khan said Imam Jafar as-Sadiq revealed many scientific facts in his era which our scientists discovered in 18th-19th century. With such examples, we can understand how much educational aspects are available in Islam.
Secretary, Urdu Media Guild, Waqar Rizvi said, “The teachers are always known through their students like in history Dronacharya was known through Eklavya and Arjun through Karan. It was unfortunate that people do not know about father of science and founder of algebra, Jaber or Jabir ibne Haiyyan. He was taught by sixth holy Imam Jafar Sadiq”.
Chief Development Officer (CDO-Sitapur) and Administrator, UP Shia Central Wakf Board, Shahid Manzar Abbas Rizvi along with other dignitaries were also present.
On the occasion, Hisab Husain Zaidi (Shia Inter College), Rashmi Sinha (Unity College), Itrat Fatima (Rajkiya Balika Inter College), Khawahar Rabab Zaidi (Principal, Madarsa Jamattuz Zahara), and many other teachers were felicitated.
