Eight killed, 58 wounded in Iraq violence

    Baghdad : At least eight people were killed and 58 wounded in violence in Iraq Sunday, police said.

    Four men were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Adhamiya district of Baghdad, Xinhua reported citing a police source.

    In a similar attack, two men were killed in the Mashtil area of Iraq’s capital.

    Two policemen were killed and two injured when a roadside bomb blew up a police patrolling vehicle in Eaid village near the city of Mosul, 400 km of Baghdad, police said.

    At least 51 people were injured when a car bomb exploded near the education directorate in central Kirkuk, 250 km of Baghdad.

    Five policemen were injured when a suicide bomber attacked a police patrol in Kirkuk.

    No group has yet claimed the responsibility for attacks.
