Muzaffarnagar: Lucknow based civil rights group Rihai Manch (Forum for the Release of Innocent Muslims imprisoned in the name of Terrorism) has written to the UP Police and urged them to file FIRs in cases of murder, arson, rape, etc. in the Muzaffarnagar riot.
Rihai Manch spokesperson Rajeev Yadav has written to Officer in Charge of the Fugana Police Station in Mzuaffarnagar urging him to file case for the murder of Mehardeen son of Rafeeq in the village Dungar under Phugana police station on 8th September.
Rihai Manch fact finding team recently visited Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and surrounding riot affected areas and spoke to the victims and witness. The complaint was filed on Sunday, September 29.
Rajeev Yadav has urged the police to excavate the body, conduct autopsy and to file FIR against the accused, outside whose house Mehardeen’s body was found, one named Pinku, son of Pawan from the other community, according to eye witnesses that Manch delegation spoke to.
Rihai Manch fact finding team have earlier highlighted the misery of riot victims of Muzaffarnagar and surrounding districts.
The fact finding team of Rihai Manch comprised of Asad Hayat of Awami Council for Democracy and Peace, Rajeev Yadav, Shahnawaz Alam, Lakshman Prasad and others of of Rihai Manch among others.
Rajeev Yadav and Shahnawaz Alam, spokespersons for Rihai Manch, alleged that the united Jat solidarity above partisan politics worked in a well planned conspiracy against the Muslims in the riots.
