The court’s direction came on a PIL filed by advocate R.K. Kapoor, asking the bench to direct the high court administration to advertise all the 262 existing vacancies of judges.

Kapoor said that by the Feb 18 notification, 80 vacancies were advertised for recruitment to the Delhi Judicial Service (DJS). However, there are 262 vacancies.
