New Delhi : Plots measuring upto 100 square metres in the national capital will no longer need a construction clearance permit from the municipal corporations, the BJP-ruled MCD announced Saturday.
The decision was taken after a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillors from the three corporations and senior Delhi BJP leaders.
“The owners will just have to give an affidavit to the corporation that they will follow all the rules while constructing and they can go ahead without any hindrance. This will help lakhs of small plot owners,” said BJP’s Delhi unit chief Vijay Goel.
Stressing on the need to ensuring best possible sanitation in the city, the BJP further said that it will setting up a helpline to monitor and address sanitation related issues.
