Your Majesty,

Greetings of Islam which are no doubt greetings of peace: Assalam o alaikum

In the midst of the human catastrophe in Gaza, when billions of supporters of peace in Palestine from across globe were watching the ongoing Israeli aggression with horror, during the holy month of Ramadan and when the major question haunting their minds was the reason behind the silence or the absence of the proactive stand of the Arabs, vis-à-vis the sufferings of the Palestinians, a ray of hope and light was enlightened with the news that Your Majesty have ordered an immediate assistance to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza worth more than $50 million for medicines, medical equipment and supplies necessary to treat the victims of the Israeli attacks which claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent children, women, elderly and people of special needs.

The act of your generosity would be written in golden letters in the history of Palestine and war and peace in the Middle East and would always be remembered as an act of soothing for those who had suffered and definitely would be rewarded in the Hereafter.

However, in contrast to the condition attached to the Gaza aid announcement, Your Majesty have opened treasures of the kingdom for the “Islamic” fighters in Syria who have reached Syria from across the globe to fight a Jihad and free Syria from “tyrant” Assad. The world has also appreciated your military aid worth billions of dollars to the “mujahedeen” in Syria.

What Palestinians in Gaza need is not medical aid after pain inflicted by the Zionist regime but a more humane and just support to ensure their right to live in peace without fear, a right to defend themselves from the onslaught of a regime hostile to their survival and livelihood, free approach to world and the end of the continuous siege of Gaza by Israel for no reason other than their choice of having their administration as per their wishes.

As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the biggest supporter and donor to the regime in Egypt, it would be worthy if Your Majesty do consider giving diplomatic advice to the government of Egypt to open its border for the refugees of Gaza and work for the free access of its residents to world by literally ending the blockade of the besieged territory from the Egyptian side. The suffering of the citizens of Gaza even during the periods of relative calm is no less painful. Therefore, what Palestinians of Gaza need is a strong and clear Arab support on diplomatic as well as war fronts.

I hope this letter of a faithful finds you in good health and best spirits,

Wassalam
