Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Monday urged the central government to notify the revision on rates of royalty and dead rent on major minerals without any further delay.
In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he said the enhancement in the rates were due from Aug 13, 2012.
He said a study group constituted by the central government on revisions of the rates has submitted its report during June 2013 but the matter is still pending with the central government.
“Due to delay in notification of rate of royalty, the state government is losing approximately Rs.5 crore per day,” Patnaik said in his letter.
“I would, therefore, urge upon the central government to notify the revision on rates of royalty and dead rent on major minerals without any further delay,” he said.
