New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia shall be holding its Annual Convocation-2014 on November 17, 2014 at 12.30 P.M. at Bhopal Ground, Jamia Sports Complex, Jamia Millia Islamia.
Honurable Pranab Mukherjee, President of India will deliver the Convocation Address, while Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Human Resource Development will be the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Mohammad Ahmed Zaki, Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia will preside over the Annual Convocation. Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia will deliver the Vice-Chancellor’s Report highlighting the achievements of the past year as also plan for the future.
In the Annual Convocation – 2014, a total of 4503 Degrees/Diplomas shall be awarded to students who have successfully completed Ph.D., M.Phil., Post-graduation, Graduation and Diploma courses from different Faculties/Departments/Centres of the University in the Academic Session 2012-13.
The university will also hand out 162 Gold Medals to the Toppers of different courses as also award 223 Ph.D. degrees to Research Scholars.
HRD Minister shall also inaugurate the new building of Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Science on the campus at 01.35 P.M. post-convocation.
