Kolkata : Three people were injured in two incidents of crude bomb blasts in West Bengal Thursday, police said.
The first blast took place in Mohanpur area in North 24-Parganas district. Two labourers were injuries when a crude bomb went off while they were filling up stone chips in sacks near a construction site.
“They have sustained injuries on hands and chest and have been admitted to a hospital,” said a police officer.
The second explosion occurred in Malda district’s Gazole area in which a man was injured when he touched an unclaimed box lying in the middle of a road.
“According to witnesses, a box-like thing was lying near the road and when the man touched it, it went off, seriously injuring him,” an officer of Gazole police station said.
