Leaders demanded steps to keep alive memories of leaders

Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim league (IUML) Kerala state president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal has called for steps to keep alive the memories of political leaders intact. He was speaking at the commemoration of IUML leader and former MP B V Abdulla Koya at CH Auditorium in League House.

While inaugurating the commemoration of IUML leader and former MP B V Abdulla Koya at CH Auditorium in League House, Thangal said that the present generation of political leaders and activists should be cognizant of the ideas and prospects of the emulative leaders like BV.
“Leaders like him have left legacy of hard working. Efforts are needed to preserve such legacies, which are rapidly consigned to oblivion,” Thangal said.
He asked the publishers to allot deserving space for such books, which include the history of the great political leaders.
“The absence of leaders like B V Abdulla Koya is extremely felt. The present political scenario is in dire need for such leaders. The biographies, if they are published, will guide the present generation of political leaders,” Thangal said.
While delivering the presidential address E Ahmed M P said that each and every IUML activist has got inspired by the footsteps of B V Abdulla Koya.
The function also marked the biography release of BV Abdulla Koya, written by his son K Aboobacker.
Hyderali Shihab Thangal handed over the first copy to P V Gangadharan. P Damodaran introduced the book. IUML state treasurer PKK Bava, secretary M C Mayin Haji, district president Ummer Pandikashala, general secretary M A Rasaq Master, M C Vadakara and T P Cherooppa were also present.
