“The Union government is an utter failure in terms of initiating the schemes, meant for the development of the common man. The government is now engaged in making legislation, aimed at the improvement of the corporate powers instead of addressing the primary issues. He (the Prime Minister) is now building up an India, which could emerge as a paradise for the corporate sector,” Ilyas said.
“The Prime Minister, who once boasted that he would bring back the black money within 100 days, is now begging for the foreign investment without any precaution to avert the security concerns of the country. By going on long foreign journeys, Modi is exerting his best to retain his image, which has diminished following the Gujarat genocide in 2002,” Ilyas added.
“It seems ridiculous that a Prime Minister, who justifies his travels as trips for foreign investment, has failed to bring any kind of such investment,” he said.
While addressing the gathering, Hameed Vaniyambalam, party’s state president, said the party will take over a historic role in the upcoming election to the local self-governing bodies by developing a popular front with cooperation of various parties.
“A popular alternative is inevitable to oppose the increasing corruption and anti-people policies, followed by the mainstream political parties in the state,” Hameed said.
“The party gives prime priority in extending the benefits of the freedom to the marginalized section. There are various sects left to suffer as the power still remains centralized. Every possible step will be taken to uplift the underprivileged section to the mainstream,” he said.
“The country is at stake as the corporate culture and communalism are posing threat to its existence,” said Abdul Rasaq Molla, former CPM minister from Bengal. He was delivering the key note address.
He lamented that befitting representation is denied to the minorities in Bengal. He hailed the party for its efforts being taken up in Bengal for the uplifting of the minorities.
Thennilapuram Radhakrishnan, state general secretary, presided over the event. P C Hamza, national general secretary; Abraham Joseph, national vice president; C K Janu, Adivasi Gothra Maha Sabha leader, and K Ambujakshan, party national secretary, also attended the programme.
