Kisan Sabha President of Madhya Pradesh Unit, Jasvinder Singh, and Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch Convener, Kishore Pippal, alleged that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government has given directions to all police stations not to register cases of harassment against Dalits and tribals.

They said in a statement that “many difficulties” are put before those applying for caste certificates. The displacements of Dalits and tribals is taking place due to giving land to private developers.

They also said the government has put a stop to employment opportunities and vacancies in order to make the reservation policy useless. Privatization of education is being done and over one lakh government schools are being closed. These policies have made the lives of Dalits and tribal population hell, the statement said.

They said the Hunkar rally would demand tackling of these problems and for the betterment of Dalits and tribal communities.
