Denver (Colorado) : Senator Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination Thursday night in Denver, becoming the first-ever African-American to win the nod of a US major party.
“With profound gratitude, I accept your nomination,” he told 75,000 people at an open-air football stadium.
