Dhaka : Bangladesh’s permanent representative in Geneva, Debapriya Bhattacharya, has been elected president of the Trade and Development Board (TDB) of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad) for one year.
The first from his country to be elected by the 193-member assembly, Bhattacharya took charge Monday, the Daily Star reported Tuesday.
TDB is the highest policy making body after the quadrennial ministerial conference of Unctad.
