Zaheer strikes early as Australia trail by 456 runs at tea

Mohali (Punjab) : Zaheer Khan struck early to remove opener Matthew Hayden in the first over as Australia were 13 for the loss of one wicket in the first innings against India at tea on the second day of the second Test match at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium here Saturday.

Skipper Ricky Ponting was batting on five and opener Simon Katich on eight when the umpires called for tea. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly made 102 and stand-in captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 92 to help India reach 469 runs in the first innings.
