New Delhi : Leading retailer Pantaloon Retail India posted 22 percent growth in its net profit for the quarter ended Sep 30, 2008 over the corresponding period of last year.
Pantaloon reported a net profit of Rs.361.8 million in the quarter under review as against Rs.296.9 million in the year-ago period, a company statement said here Wednesday.
Its net sales went up 39 percent to Rs.15.11 billion from Rs.10.86 million.
The company opened nearly 18 stores in the July-September quarter. The company’s retail space has increased from 7.9 million square feet to 8.6 million square feet, the statement said.
