Pakistani President to visit Saudi Arabia

Islamabad : Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will pay a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia from Nov.4, the Foreign Office announced on Friday.

Speaking at his weekly news briefing, Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said that Zardari would hold talks with King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and exchange views on bilateral, regional and international issues during his stay in Saudi Arabia.

The increase in the volume of bilateral trade and investment, export of manpower to Saudi Arabia and exploration of further avenues of cooperation will be on the agenda of the meeting between the two leaders, according to News Network International (NNI) news agency.

The frequent exchange of high-level visits was a hallmark of bilateral fraternal relations, Sadiq said, adding that the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries was firmly based in institutional linkages and strong trade and commercial ties.
