World leaders call PM to condemn Mumbai terror attacks

New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Friday briefed world leaders on developments related to the Mumbai terror attacks and “the information available with the authorities after preliminary investigations”.

Manmohan Singh made the observations when leaders like British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned him to condemn the Mumbai blasts and express their condolences, an official statement said.

The other leaders who telephoned Manmohan Singh were Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam.

“The prime minister briefed each of them on the events that had taken place and the information available with the authorities after preliminary investigations,” the statement said.
