Riyadh : Saudi Human Rights Commission has completed 240 cases of 944 cases received last year comprising a rate of 24% and it has received verbal and telephone consultations for more than 1,600 complaints.
The member of the Commission’s Council and the Official Spokesman Dr. Zuhair bin Fahd Al-Harthy pointed out that the cases have been related to family issues, labor, rights of prisoners, financial rights, rights to education, health care, equality before the courts, social welfare and other issues.
He noted that the issues of security, labor and public issues have formed the bulk of the cases received by the Commission, including the rights of prisoners, financial rights and disputes between laborers and employers.
Dr. Al-Harthy commended the cooperation of relevant government agencies with the Commission to find solutions to the issues.
