Suicide bombing kills two, injures 18 in Afghanistan

Kabul : At least two people were killed and 18 injured in a suicide bombing Monday morning in the northern Afghan province of Parwan, officials said.

“It occurred at around 8 a.m. when the bomber blew himself up in front of a government building in Parwan,” Zamari Bashari, an interior ministry spokesperson, said.

Bashari did not specify the number of casualties, adding “the target is not clear immediately”.

However, the blast, according to local TV Tolo, targeted the convoy of international troops in Parwan province, some 70 km north of the capital Kabul.
