New Delhi: After vigorously conducting a civil society campaign and demanding a judicial probe into the Batla House encounter for the last five months, Jamia Teachers’ Solidarity Group (JTSG) is going to public a report on the issue, disclosing some untouched aspects of the encounter.
The report will consist of testimonies of eyewitnesses and families of the terror suspects killed in the encounter on September 19, 2008 in Batla House area of Jamia Nagar in New Delhi and those arrested as Indian Mujahideen members subsequently from the area. Besides, the report has pieced together police statements, press reports and other documentary evidence.
The report ‘Encounter’ at Batla House: Unanswered Questions, compiled by JTSG, will be released at Jamia Millia Islamia on 20th February.
