Doha : Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for war crimes, arrived in Doha Sunday to attend the Arab Summit scheduled to begin Monday.
At the top of the Summit’s agenda is an Arab united stance to face the ICC’s arrest warrant.
Diplomatic sources in Doha said that Arab foreign ministers who met Saturday have reached consensus on rejecting the ICC’s arrest warrant against Bashir.
The foreign ministers have scheduled the item for the final draft of the Arab summit’s communique.
