New Delhi : Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Wednesday appealed to people to support his colleague and the National Democratic Alliance’s prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani and vote the NDA to power.
Vajpayee, who is not contesting elections because of his poor health, asked people to take a pledge “to elect ‘the determined leader and decisive government’ – which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised and Advani will fulfill”, according to the text of his appeal.
The appeal comes on the eve of the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
