New Delhi : Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi and two journalists from Kerala P. Rajeev and M.P. Achuthan Monday took oath as Rajya Sabha members.
Vice President Hamid Ansari administered oath to the three new MPs at a function held in his office, an official said.
This is the second time Vayalar Ravi, who is also minister of overseas Indian affairs, is becoming Rajya Sabha MP.
Rajeev, who took oath with the Congress leader, is a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Kerala state committee member and resident editor of party mouthpiece Deshabhimani in Kerala.
Achuthan is a member of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and editor of the party organ Janayugam.
Rajeev and Achuthan were elected following the retirement of Thennala Balakrishnapillai (Congress) and K. Chandranpillai (CPI-M) as Rajya Sabha MPs.
