“All lawyers abstained from work in all district courts. Work in most of the district courts remained affected,” Delhi Bar Association secretary Jaiveer Singh Chauhan said.

The lawyers’ forum Tuesday gave a call for abstention from courts to protest the action taken by an Additional District Judge at the Dwarka courts against a member of the Delhi Bar Association.

The incident took place when a lawyer during arguments in a matrimonial case raised his pitch, prompting the judge to call police to take him out of the court.
